Q: Does it really work or is it a gimic?
A: Yes it does work and it is not a gimic. Once you validate that the Band for your HomeBoost repeater is the same as the band / frequency your Wireless carrier is using to deliver you service it works like a charm. See the demonstration on our home page to show you.

Q: Do I need to drill a hole in my walls?
A: To properly install the repeater you may have to drill a small hole or re-use an existing entry point. It is much like when the cable guy runs coax cable into your home for TV and Internet. This simply allows you to connect an outdoor antenna to your indoor HomeBoost repeater (all included in our kits). Don't worry though, it is really easy and very quick to complete. See the following link to guide you if worried.

Q: How many square feet will my repeater cover?
A: With HomeBoost you have 2 options. The included whip antenna (3dBi) will improve signal within a small room of about 500 - 800 square feet accommodating the needs of most customers. We have an optional Panel Antenna (10dBi) available for purchase that will cover larger rooms (about 1500 sq. ft.). In fact, you can purchase a splitter and run multiple panel antennas through your home or office.

Q: Sometimes on weekends my cell phone network is overloaded with congestion. Will a HomeBoost repeater help this?
A: HomeBoost repeaters will boost your signal when it is weak. It cannot improve service if the network is congested. A network is congested when too many customers are active in an area. Wireless carriers enable varying capacity on each cell tower or region. If there are too many customers active vs the capacity available then you may see degradation in network availability or quality.

Q: I use a mobile wifi hotspot for a room of people to use my data plan, will Homeboost help the quality?
A:Yes. Homeboost will improve the quality of signal to your phone and enable a more stable connection for everyone accessing your hotspot. It won't extend the range of your phone or router's wifi hotspot though. In addition to cellular signal boosters, HomeBoost also sells high quality mobile hotspot routers. Check out our catalog.

Q: What is the return policy?
A: You can return HomeBoost repeaters within 15 days of receiving your shipment, yet there are a few things to consider:
1) We have a validation / compatibility procedure we recommend all customers complete before purchasing. This validation procedure guarantees our repeaters will work to boost the Band you are picking up from your cellular carrier.
2) Products sold to our customers have been individually quality tested to work so we never put our customers in a position of receiving a defective unit.
3) If you return it we will deduct a 10% re-stocking fee from the refund.
4) As we offer free or discounted shipping to our customers we don't cover return shipping costs. This helps us to charge the most competitive rates for Signal repeaters around.

Q: What is the shipping cost?
A: We offer free shipping to Canadian residents and most US addresses. A $20 shipping fee might apply to some products we offer to US addresses. All shipping charges are displayed in your checkout before purchase.

Q: Are cellular signal boosters legal?
A: Of course. They are completely legal. In fact they help enhance coverage in fringe areas for cellular service providers.

Q: Does HomeBoost sell signal boosters for 5g?
A: 5g cellular networks are in their infancy. For years to come 4g / LTE networks will remain predominant and very far from obsolete. Some Cellular carriers are now working to upgrade their networks to offer 5g capacity in addition to 4g / LTE but it will take time. Because of this all 5g compatible hardware (cell phones, signal boosters, routers, etc...) are very expensive. We at HomeBoost will offer 5g equipment in the future when the cost is actually worthwhile for customers.
